On August 31, the BYD Ocean Network Yunnan-Guizhou-Sichuan War Zone 2027 Seal 06 launch appreciation event Guiyang Station was held at Guiyang Century Jinyuan Shopping Plaza. The new car launched this time offers two powertrains, pure electric and plug-in hybrid, with a total of 12 models. The official guide price ranges from 99,900 yuan to 155,900 yuan, among which the plug-in hybrid version starts at 99,900 yuan and the pure electric version starts at 109,900 yuan.

In terms of benefits, car buyers can now enjoy 0 down payment and 0 interest, a trade-in subsidy of up to 4,000 yuan, and the entire lineup also comes with 2 years of free cloud services and 2 years of free in-car data; if you buy the pure electric version, you also get an additional year of free flash charging. For warranty, the three-electric system comes with lifetime warranty for the first non-operating owner, and the complete vehicle warranty is 6 years or 150,000 kilometers.

Exterior: All changes are concentrated on the front face
For the 2027 Seal 06, the changes are visible at a glance on the front face. The front end no longer continues the old model's large-mouth grille and instead adopts a fully enclosed panel. The headlights have been smoked black, giving a sharper look than the previous generation, and the whole face looks much cleaner.

The side still features the familiar fastback coupe styling. The car is 4,870 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, and the wheelbase has been stretched to 2,820 mm, 30 mm longer than the old model, making the rear seats more spacious. There are 5 paint colors in total: Warm Sun White, Aurora Green, Cloud Sea Gray, Snowfield White, and Atlantis Gray, offering more choices when picking.

Interior: Materials and equipment are fairly generous
In the interior, the upper part of the center console has large-area soft wrapping, which feels like leather to the touch. The door panels and dashboard are color-matched. When the ambient lighting comes on at night, the cabin does not feel cheap; both the Twilight Blue and Sea Salt Gray interior color schemes are quite easy on the eyes.

Mid- and high-trim models are better equipped: a 15.6-inch central control screen, DiLink 150 infotainment system (the voice assistant is connected to the DeepSeek large model, so you can operate it just by speaking, and it also has scenario switches such as Baby Mode and Nap Mode), a 12-inch HUD head-up display, 50W wireless fast charging, and front seats with electric adjustment, heating, and ventilation, while the driver's seat has memory and welcome functions. The hot-and-cold dual-purpose in-car refrigerator, panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, and rear privacy glass are also available on high-trim versions. Basically, the things commonly used for family use are not left out.

Performance: Two powertrains for two kinds of usage habits
Powertrain is the focus of this upgrade, with pure electric and plug-in hybrid separately catering to different usage scenarios.
The pure electric version is built on the native flash charging platform and is equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery. CLTC range is up to 630 kilometers, and energy consumption is 10.7 kWh per 100 kilometers; the high-power version's motor has a maximum of 240 kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. Charging speed is a highlight of this car. At normal temperature, charging from 10% to 70% takes only 5 minutes, and charging to 97% takes about 9 minutes; in a minus 30 degree environment, charging from 20% to 97% takes only 3 minutes longer than at normal temperature. At this speed, daily charging basically requires no waiting.

The plug-in hybrid version is equipped with fifth-generation DM technology and a large 34-degree battery. Pure electric range is up to 320 kilometers, enough for a week of commuting with one charge; in a depleted state, fuel consumption is 2.59 liters per 100 kilometers, and with a full tank and full charge the combined range is up to 2,370 kilometers, so there is no need to worry about charging stations on long trips.

The DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system on the chassis is not standard across the entire lineup. It only starts from the Distinguished trim level and comes with road preview. This suspension system automatically adjusts softer or firmer according to the road conditions ahead. When going over speed bumps or rough roads, the shaking in the cabin is noticeably reduced, making it less likely for rear passengers to get carsick. Specifically by model: the plug-in hybrid 230 Distinguished (119,900 yuan), 320 Distinguished (128,900 yuan), and 320 Flagship (141,900 yuan), and the pure electric 530 Distinguished (129,900 yuan), 630 Distinguished (142,900 yuan), and 630 Flagship (155,900 yuan) all have it; the Comfort and Smart trim levels, the two entry and lower-mid trims, do not include it.

Intelligence: Intelligent driving is divided into two tiers, best to look clearly before buying
In terms of intelligent driving, the 2027 Seal 06 is divided into two tiers. Starting from the Smart trim, God's Eye C is standard, supporting highway and expressway navigation assist, adaptive cruise, intelligent parking, and so on, which is enough for daily highway driving; the lowest-trim Comfort version does not have intelligent driving.

The more advanced God's Eye B laser version adds a lidar on the roof and supports urban navigation assist and full-scenario parking, but this is not standard: only the two top trims, the plug-in hybrid 320 Flagship (141,900 yuan) and the pure electric 630 Flagship (155,900 yuan), come with it from the factory, while Distinguished trims can add it as an option for 12,000 yuan. It should be noted that urban navigation assist is currently only available in some opened cities. Buying God's Eye B also comes with a fallback policy: in intelligent parking and urban navigation assist scenarios, if an accident is caused by a system problem, the repair cost will be borne by BYD, without using insurance and without increasing premiums.

In terms of safety, the entire lineup comes standard with a high-speed tire blowout stability control system. Even if a tire blows out at 140 km/h, the body can remain stable; high-strength steel accounts for 75.4%, with up to 7 airbags, and the structure uses CTB battery-body integration.

Putting this facelift back into the market perspective
Putting this facelift back into the market context, the direction is very clear. Sales of the Seal 06 series have shown a downward trend. Retail sales in June 2026 were 10,080 units, while in the same period last year there were still 21,770 units, a year-on-year drop of more than half. The new car was launched nationwide on August 11. Choosing this point for a facelift is mainly to pull back the declining sales.

The approach is also direct: raise the overall equipment level, lower the price threshold, and re-enter competition in the 100,000-yuan family sedan segment with "more for less." From 99,900 yuan to 155,900 yuan, the 12 models fully cover both the plug-in hybrid and pure electric product lines. From entry to top trim, they try to give as much as possible of what users care about. As for whether this car can regain its footing and whether the Guiyang market will respond, it still depends on sales data in the coming months.
Currently, the new car has already been displayed in BYD Ocean Network stores in Guiyang. Interested consumers can visit the stores to learn more.
