On September 29, the Buick brand announced that the LaCrosse model has rolled off the production line as the 1.5 millionth complete vehicle, and official images of the new LaCrosse were released at the same time. The company says a total of 50 upgrades have been made, and the new car will officially go on sale on October 10.

Judging from the official images, the front face of the new LaCrosse adopts a combination of slender LED light units and a large trapezoidal air intake grille, while the side continues to use traditional-style door handles. The vehicle measures 5,003 mm in length, 1,866 mm in width, and 1,466 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,905 mm. Compared with the current model, the body length has increased slightly. A new "Ink Bamboo Green" body color has been added.

In terms of the interior, the new LaCrosse has dropped the original dual-screen layout in favor of a combination of a large floating central control screen and a liquid crystal instrument cluster, and is equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel. The center console has been changed to a more regular symmetrical design, featuring wireless phone charging, cup holders, and a Liuguang Crystal Diamond rotary knob. A new "Kongshan Chuxiao" interior color scheme has been added. The cabin uses extensive soft wrapping paired with metallic trim and is equipped with 121-color intelligent ambient lighting. The seats feature diamond-pattern quilting, and both front and rear seats support heating, ventilation, and massage functions.

The new LaCrosse is powered by a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 174 kW (about 237 horsepower), matched to a 9-speed automatic manual transmission.

Xiao Tang's view:
Based on the information revealed by the official images, the adjustments to the new LaCrosse are mainly concentrated in the interior. Body dimensions, wheelbase, and the 2.0T+9AT powertrain specification remain its existing advantages, but in the B-segment market where new energy competitors continue to divert demand, dimensions such as fuel economy are also more likely to be compared. Whether the 50 upgrades can be converted into sales, the final price announced on October 10 will be the key variable.
