On June 20, FAW Audi officially announced that the all-new Audi A5L has officially opened pre-sales. The new car is built on the all-new PPC platform. This pre-sale first introduces three configuration versions: the Pilot Edition, Sport Edition quattro, and Sport Edition Plus. In addition, the quattro model with HDI hybrid technology will have its pre-sale information announced later. It is worth noting that the Audi A5L has become the first model among German luxury brands to be equipped with Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving system, marking an important step forward in its localization process in the field of intelligentization.

The new car's exterior continues Audi's family design language. The front face adopts the iconic hexagonal air intake grille, with a dot-matrix structure inside supplemented by chrome trim, offering high recognition. The blackened headlight clusters have a sharp shape and integrate matrix LED light sources. The lower bumper is designed in three sections, and the trapezoidal air intake at the bottom has a mesh structure inside, strengthening the front end's sense of layering and sporty appeal. The side profile adopts a traditional three-box sedan outline with a steady style. The shark-fin antenna and segmented waistline enhance visual dynamism, the recessed door handle design helps reduce the drag coefficient, and the five-spoke blackened wheels further heighten the sporty atmosphere. The rear design is clearly layered, with a small ducktail on the trunk lid. The blackened full-width taillight cluster effectively extends the rear's visual width, the recessed inverted trapezoidal license plate frame area enhances three-dimensionality, the lower bumper is equipped with a honeycomb trim panel, and the exhaust layout is dual outlet on both sides. In terms of body dimensions, the Audi A5L is 4908 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2969 mm. Compared with the overseas version, the domestically produced version's wheelbase is lengthened by 61 mm to better meet domestic consumers' demand for rear-seat space.

The interior basically follows the overseas version's design concept, with emphasis on a sense of technology. It is equipped with a dual-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a curved dual-screen setup, a front passenger entertainment screen, and a slider-type electronic gear shifter. The new car also adds a 13.1-inch W-HUD head-up display system and has carried out localized application adaptation for the central control system. In terms of configuration, the front seats are equipped with adjustable leg rests and side bolsters as wide as 118 mm to improve wrapping and comfort. The rear seat backrest angle is optimized to 28° and offers 9 massage modes. The audio system is equipped with a 20-speaker B&O branded product.

The powertrain is equipped with the fifth-generation EA888 2.0T engine, offering two versions of 110 kW and 150 kW, and applies VTG variable-geometry turbo technology. The low-power version adopts a front-wheel-drive layout, while the high-power version offers front-wheel drive and quattro all-wheel drive as options, with all models matched to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. At the same time, the new car introduces HDI Audi dual-motor full-domain intelligent hybrid technology. Its driveshaft-integrated motor can provide an additional 8 kW of power output and supports pure electric driving under specific conditions as well as pure electric parking functions.
