Ever since the Exeed Sterra ET Extended-Range AWD was launched, Exeed fans have been closely watching for when the Sterra ES would get an extended-range version, and now its true face has finally been revealed: Exeed Auto has officially released exterior official images of the Sterra ES Extended-Range version.

If the Sterra ET Extended-Range AWD is the "strongest extended-range SUV," then for expectant fans, the Sterra ES Extended-Range version will not disappoint either—none of Sterra's three core technologies have been left out, including Golden Extended-Range, Falcon Smart Driving, and Snow Leopard AWD!

Elegant without losing a sense of technology

Although the overall silhouette and body dimensions of the Sterra ES Extended-Range version remain consistent with the pure electric version, the exterior design has been refreshed and upgraded, with the most obvious changes in the front fascia and wheels, complemented by the all-new Aurora Purple color scheme shown in the official images.

The Sterra ES Extended-Range version, designed with "Aesthetics of Wind," appears elegant without losing a sense of technology in terms of body proportions, overall harmony, and detail treatment. With the addition of the wind-controlling electric rear spoiler, this elegance is fused with a sporty character—so much so that in terms of design, it would not be an exaggeration to call the Sterra ES the current "most beautiful extended-range sedan."

The pure electric version of the Sterra ES has a wheelbase of 3000 mm and overall dimensions of 4945×1978×1480 mm, offering a spacious and bright ultra-large interior with excellent comfort. Although Exeed officials have not disclosed related information, it is believed that the Sterra ES Extended-Range version will certainly not compromise on space and comfort.

Exeed officials have disclosed the "Golden Extended-Range" of the Sterra ES Extended-Range version: it is equipped with the industry's first extended-range powertrain system to receive the "High-Quality Extended-Range" technology certification from CATARC, with a pure electric range of up to 255 km—the largest in its class (practically usable as a pure EV for daily driving)—and a CLTC comprehensive range of 1645 km, going even farther than the Sterra ET Extended-Range AWD.

In addition, paired with the same fast-charging system as the Sterra ET Extended-Range AWD, it can complete a 20% to 80% charge in just 17.5 minutes. Besides being able to run on either gasoline or electricity, it can basically be driven electrically except under particularly poor environmental conditions.

Smart driving and AWD are all there

In terms of intelligent technology, Exeed officials have currently only disclosed that the Sterra ES Extended-Range version will be equipped with the Falcon Smart Driving system, featuring 30 high-performance sensors and dual NVIDIA DRIVE ORIN chips with up to 508 TOPS of computing power. Like the Sterra ET Extended-Range AWD, the Sterra ES Extended-Range version can achieve end-to-end mapless smart driving and supports full-scenario smart driving functions across three major domains—highways, urban roads, and intelligent parking—placing it in the industry's first tier.

In terms of driving control, the elegantly styled Sterra ES Extended-Range, like the Sterra ET Extended-Range AWD, possesses beast-like powerful performance, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration of just 4.6 seconds. Equipped with a million-class intelligent chassis, the Sterra ES Extended-Range features front double-wishbone independent suspension + rear five-link independent suspension, delivering performance and driving control experience beyond its class. Moreover, the Sterra ES Extended-Range version will also be equipped with the Snow Leopard AWD system, whose electronic limited-slip response efficiency is only 0.05 seconds, providing a more stable driving experience on slippery, icy, and snowy roads and other tougher road conditions.

Since its debut, the Sterra ES has been an outstanding good car, and now the Sterra ES Extended-Range version is undoubtedly the best extended-range sedan choice prepared for more fans. Furthermore, Huang Zhaogen, General Manager of Chery Exeed Marketing Center, also revealed that Exeed Auto will have many major new models this year, and the Sterra ES Extended-Range version is the first "hard dish" kicking off the new car feast—and this "hard dish" has only just made its exterior debut. Hasn't it already won over many people?!
